Orientation camp is the best way to kick off your new Uni life. Party all weekend, meet new friends, fall off a canoe, have a blast, dance all night and remember it for the rest of your life. By O'Week, you'll find that instead of standing in a crowd of strangers, you'll be surrounded by friends.

Orientation Camp is open to all 1st year students of any course. The camp lasts 3 days from Friday 18th February through to Sunday 20th and is held at Campapse Downs Country Resort (near Kyneton). An indoor pool, spa and sauna, basketball, volleyball, trampolines, canoes, private lake and a goat are all on offer, as well as the traditional array of events, activities, games and spontaneous silliness that live on in Uni folklore. It's guaranteed that all through first year, enough classic "and one time, on O'Camp" stories will be told to make even the most thick-skinned non-camper jealous...

Numbers are limited to 250 with a strict 'first in first served' policy - so you'd better get your application in early!

Pack your stuff, which should include:

• Three days worth of clothes, warm or cold.
• Bathers, towel, shower bag and shower cap if you want to look silly.
• Address book and pens for all the new friends you will make.
• No glass bottles - Alcohol should be brought in cans wherever possible
• No sleeping bags - bedding is provided
• No food is necessary - 3 'gourmet' meals a day will be provided by the camp managers.

Orientation Camp is an annual event run by us, the Science Students' Society - a non-profit, non-exclusive student society affiliated with the Melbourne University Student Union. Membership is a paltry $2 (get your sss discount card here!!), and is open to ABSOLUTELY ANYONE hanging around Melbourne Uni, Science student or otherwise... Orientation camp usually runs at a small loss, but is subsidised by money raised at our other (fun) events throughout the year. Feel free to browse the site, and get as excited as we are about our many upcoming sell-out events...! You'll read about it first on www.sssonline.org.au!!
